A different kind of endurance.
Our story
For years, I found my peace in endurance sports—long training days, early mornings, and the challenge of seeing just how far I could push myself. In 2019, that journey took me across the finish line of an Ironman.
Then life asked for a different kind of endurance.
As a new Emergency Department Director, I found myself leading through the uncertainty and intensity of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. I discovered how much I loved a high-stakes career and the opportunity to lead and care for people—but I also came to understand just how important it was to have a place to slow down, breathe, and reset.
For me, that place had always been found through movement.
In 2024, I received the devastating news that a hip injury would prevent me from returning to endurance athletics in the way I once knew. I had lost the thing that had always helped me find my balance.
And then I found flowers.
What started as a garden quickly became something more. Flower farming gave me the challenge, physical work, patience, and perseverance I had loved about endurance sports—but with an entirely different kind of finish line. There was something incredibly grounding about putting my hands in the soil, tending tiny seedlings, and eventually carrying armfuls of flowers out of the garden.
I fell in love with it.
In 2025, Stay Wild Flower Farm was born from a desire to share a little of that joy with others. What began in our backyard grew into a roadside flower stand, local farmers markets, and a way to bring fresh, locally grown flowers into our community.
Every flower we sell is grown seasonally, gathered by hand, and arranged right here in Southern Indiana.
My endurance looks a little different these days.
Now, instead of chasing finish lines, I'm chasing blooms—and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Stay wild. Grow through what life gives you.
